So, what exactly is EPG?

Plant harvested to create the oil used to make EPG

EPG, or esterified propoxylated glycerol, is a safe alternative fat made from vegetable oil. To make EPG, we start with GMO-free plant-sourced oil and split it into its components: glycerin and fatty acid. We then insert a food-grade link and reconnect the glycerin and fatty acid. The result is an ingredient that resists digestion and the release of calories.

A chocolate bar made with EPG, for instance, presents a taste and texture that is identical to a chocolate bar made with cocoa butter. But the calorie and fat count is significantly lower with the EPG chocolate bar thanks to our proprietary technology, which reduces calories from fat by 92% for each unit of fat replaced.
